About the Library

The College library is well equipped to meet the academic and informational needs of students and faculty members. It offers a wide range of resources related to the curriculum as well as for general reading and reference. The library subscribes to subject related journals, competitive examination magazines and general magazines to support teaching, learning, research and overall academic development of students and faculty members.

The library has well designed reading rooms separately arranged for Undergraduate (UG) students, Postgraduate (PG) students and staff members, providing a quiet, comfortable and conducive environment for study and academic activities. Reprography and internet facilities are also available for users. Separate e-resource sections are available to meet diverse academic and information needs effectively. The modern infrastructure and diverse resources reflect the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.

  • 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Library does not function on Government Holidays.
RULES & REGULATIONS
  • Entry to the library is allowed only with a valid Library Barcode/ID card.
  • Maintain complete silence inside the library to avoid disturbing others.
  • Keep your bags at the property counter before entering the library.
  • Carry your belonging with you while leaving the library. The library will not be responsible for lost items.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed inside the library except water in a transparent bottle.
  • Handle library furniture, books, computers and other facilities carefully.
  • Follow the library rules and cooperate with library staff for smooth functioning of services.
CYBER RULES OF THE LIBRARY
  • Electronic devices and computers should be used only for educational and academic purposes.
  • Do not install or remove any software or program on library computers.
  • Printing is not allowed in the library without permission. Contact the Librarian, if needed.
  • Use library computers and digital resources carefully and responsibly.
  • Users should maintain silence and avoid disturbing others while using digital facilities.
  • Any technical issue or damage to computer system.
BOOK ISSUE/RETURN RULES
  • A valid library barcode card /ID card must be presented while borrowing books. The card is non-transferable and should be used only by the authorized user.
  • A maximum of two books may be issued to a user at one time, subject to library rules.
  • No library material may be taken out- side the library unless it has been properly issued at the circulation counter and checked at the exit point.
  • Users should ensure that borrowed books are complete and in good condition before leaving the library. Any damage or missing pages should be reported immediately to the library staff.
  • Borrowed books should be returned on or before the due date to avoid penalties, if applicable.
  • Users are responsible for the safe handling of issued books and other library materials.
  • Students may borrow books for two weeks and staff members may borrow books for one month.
  • Students should return library books on or before the due date. A fine of 1/- per day will be charged for overdue books.
LIBRARY BUDGET & RESOURCE ALLOCATION
  • The library budget is approved by the management as part of the institution’s annual budgeting process.
  • The library budget includes expenditure on books, journals, periodicals, e-resources, subscriptions, maintenance and other library resources.
  • Budget allocation aims to support teaching members support teaching, learning, research, and informational needs.
LIBRARY STOCK VERIFICATION POLICY
  • Library stock verification is conducted annually by the library committee members along with the library staff to ensure proper maintenance and record of library resources.
  • A report of missing books is prepared and submitted to the competent authority with recommendations from the library committee.
  • Efforts are made to trace missing books during the following year's verification process.
  • Books that remain untraceable after proper verification are withdrawn with the approval of the Principal.

This process helps maintain accurate records and effective management of library resources.
